RSSHub and RSS3 Network Unite to Revolutionise Web3 Content Distribution

In a pioneering collaboration, RSSHub, a leading source of RSS Feeds, is teaming up with the RSS3 Network to transform Web3 content distribution. This strategic alliance aims to redefine information dissemination by integrating thousands of federated nodes, with one node already managing over ~400 million monthly requests.

This partnership signifies a significant evolution in internet information protocols. RSS3, the original open standard of Web1 & 2, will be seamlessly integrated into the Web3 RSS3 Network. This move not only symbolises a unified approach but also anticipates a surge in content creators within the Web3 ecosystem, overcoming traditional entry barriers.

In homage to Aaron Swartz, a revered Internet activist and co-founder of Reddit, this collaboration addresses the erosion of internet openness by introducing an incentivisation ownership economy layer to RSS. RSS3 is set to incentivise all creators of RSS Feed contents, ensuring a vibrant and sustainable content creation ecosystem.

The collaboration envisions the deployment of decentralised RSS3 Nodes with an incentivisation system, benefitting both content creators and Node hosts. RSSHub will play a central role in serving information to users of the RSS3 Network, enriching the Web3 ecosystem.

Existing RSSHub hosts will undergo a seamless onboarding process to transition into the RSS3 Network. The new system will distribute pull requests (PR) to all Nodes, recording them for incentivisation purposes. Node incentives will be periodically distributed to Node hosts on a blockchain, ensuring all existing RSSHub hosts joining the RSS3 Network receive due incentives.

This partnership offers an unprecedented opportunity for the RSSHub community and the Web3 ecosystem to contribute to the open information network. With the integration of RSS3 Unified Metadata Schemas (UMA) format, the onboarding process becomes streamlined, allowing for a swift setup of RSS3 nodes.

As RSS3 and RSSHub embark on this transformative journey, the entire Web3 community eagerly anticipates a future where content creators can effortlessly join the RSS3 Open Information Network, be incentivised, and contribute to the exponential growth of accessible open information from the traditional internet.
